Laylaah Muhammad, 23, was arrested late on Wednesday, May 3, on charges of conspiracy, child endangerment, evidence tampering, and more. Her bail was set at 10 percent of $1 million, state court filings show.
Police were called to the 31st Street and Grays Ferry Avenue fire station around 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 30, where a woman had arrived with a toddler who had been shot in the cheek, authorities said previously.
The child was rushed by ambulance to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia where he was placed in "critical but stable condition," they said.
Detectives have also said they found evidence that suggests the shooting took place inside a residence on the block, "not out on the street."
